Nonprofit Websites and their Benefits

While the services that non-profit organizations are extremely important, the ability to provide those services have an almost equivalent importance.  This fact is why a websites digital presence is extremely important.

When we started our project with The Frederick Douglass Foundation of North Carolina, we knew that our goal was to establish credibility for the organization in effort to provide the opportunity for more financial contributions coming into the organization.  When foundations and non-profit organizations rely exclusively on the revenue that comes in from federal and state sources, the possibility of those wells running dry are much higher than is to be desired.  This is where a functional, modern, and audience centered website comes in…

A non-profit organizations website targeted exclusively towards those that use the services but also towards those that give to the organization.  Without a website that established that the organization is completely credible, the amount of possible donations reduces, even if only a little bit.  While many organizations may get most of their funding from events that they hold, such as dinners, gallerias, or other events, the opportunity for immediate giving by someone who discovers an extra $1000 in their bank account is reduced when an organization doesn’t have a website that makes them look like they are very active and giving back to the community.

Having a website with a copyright that is out of date, or that is designed so that it looks like it was built before the internet existed makes organizations look like they are no longer active, aren’t utilizing the funding that they are receiving for growth, or that the organization is just lazy.

At Cape Fear Media Solutions, we understand that it is important for organizations to be current, modern, and on top of their game.  Without these characteristics, a group will never achieve the rate of growth that they hope for, and, unfortunate, often won’t end up in the black at the end of the fiscal term.  This is why we provide ongoing substantial discounts for developing or redeveloping non-profit organizations websites.  Just our way of giving back to the community of organizations that give so much themselves.
